Midway Madness Slots
Midway Madness is one of the newer Rival i-slots and offers a carnival theme. It was released in 2012 and it is clear that with it comes gained experience due to the much greater animations are evident on the reels. On the left, the ride operator appears and is animated reacting with each completed win. Symbols include rides that can be enjoyed at the park with kids having a blast. High card symbols are also featured in various colours along with bonus symbols appearing as bumper cars for the bonus game, admit tickets for free spins and a boy for the jackpot win of 15,000 coins. The carnival theme has been well-designed and featured in every aspect from the background through to its symbols and sounds. However, characters lack some detail, unless this was intentional with the goal to be more classic in those elements.

Midway Madness has impressive win opportunities with the symbols featured, but also, many low paying symbols make impact when 3 of a kind appear. After a few spins, we found the rewards are fairly difficult to activate and not as rewarding as we had hoped. For 3 of a kind wins, the payouts range from 4 to 200 coins.
The wild symbols appear as the clown and makes an appearance quite often on reels 1, 3 and 5. These are included to ensure more payouts come your way as they match most game symbol and therefore, assist you in compiling more wins. As is usual, these cannot match scatters or bonus symbols, but will appear during the free spins bonus for more potential.
The free spins activate regularly but do not offer winnings like we hoped to see. The feature activated twice within 20 free games. The first time we played minimum bet on all pay-lines and managed to win 3x our total wager only, which was not impressive. We then opted to increase the maximum bet for our chosen coin value and were once again lucky enough to receive 5 free spins after 3 scatters appeared on the reels. Even under these conditions the game only awarded 4x our wager, and, therefore, we have to take an objection position as it its value.
The bonus feature is interactive, meaning your input in required to achieve the best win. Players get to direct a bumper car to collect gold coins and receive payouts. Activating the feature with more than three symbols will reward higher payouts. During our experience, this took very long to activate but was more enjoyable than the free spins, but you need to be quick and get to those gold coins collect as fast as possible, which is something to keep in mind.
