Let’s be fair, Kiss the Sky is not an appealing video slot, not by far. It looks like they used a climbing sport as an excuse to fill the screen with white color, throw a cheap snow falling animation and call it a themed slot. Symbols are taken from the mountaineers’ accessories, but they didn’t put any effort to shape them or do some creative work; just a simple copy-paste manner SkillOnNet uses from time to time. There is also a helicopter flying over the reels, but it looks bad and unneeded. And, we beg you, don’t ask us how the Bonus Game looks like. We’ll just say it’s a bonus for you not to look at it. There are thousands of 1st graders that can make better and more imaginative animations. With all that said, we can move on to the game.
The default payline number is 50, but you can reduce it on the Line tab, one coin goes for each payline you wager on and you’ll have a really wide range of coin denominations (R0.10 – R100). The jackpot symbol is represented by a yellow mountaineering backpack, awarding up to 2,000 coins. Other regular symbols include Tent, Binoculars, Radio, Lamp, Climbing Shoes, Water Tank and Rope. Fireplace is the Wild symbol that substitutes for all regular symbols, but does not create its own winning combinations.
During free spins, all wins are doubled and, in order to qualify for them, you will need at least two Scatter (radio station) symbols. You can reach up to 20 free spins, depending on a number of Scatters that appear at the same time.
Bonus (the gas stove) symbols turn up from time to time, bringing bonus points to the Bonus Meter, which is presented below the reels as a climbing route towards the top of the mountain. The bonus points each Bonus symbol gives you depend on your total bet. When 1,000 points (mountain peak) are reached you will enter an unbelievably ridiculous Bonus Game. There are three stages and you need to pick your path in each of them.
Having in mind 50 paylines, free spins with x2 multipliers and the Bonus Game only, you probably wouldn’t call Kiss the Sky Climbing Slot a poor excuse for a video slot, which undoubtedly is. SkillOnNet did a bad job this time and we can only hope they knew how to learn from mistakes. Such a shame, it could have been a nice slot.
