Sun International Announces Reopening of Wild Coast Sun Casino
South Africa’s leading casino and hospitality group, Sun International was pleased to announce that the Wild Coast Sun has reopened after being closed for nearly a month.
When President Ramaphosa declared adjusted level four lockdown restrictions in a bid to fight the third wave of the coronavirus, Sun International and other groups closed their casino properties as required by law.
Now, almost one month later, Sun International said that one of its most popular properties, the Wild Coast Sun, was opening its doors to the public again.
Grateful to be Trading Again
The general manager of the Wild Coast Sun, Peter Tshidi spoke about the excellent news that the property would be reopening.
“It would be an understatement to say we’re excited to be open again,” he said. “We appreciate the tough decisions government has had to make, but our management and staff are extremely grateful to be trading again.”
Meeting all Safety Precautions
Although the casino has been allowed to reopen, it was important for Tshidi to reassure the public that all safety precautions remain in place to keep customers and employees safe. This includes closing the casino floor at the required 9 pm curfew as per level 3 government regulations.
“Of course, our strict Covid-19 protocols will firmly remain in place, but we can assure visitors that this will not impact their experience,” said the General Manager. “Our guests can expect excellent service with a smile, but that smile is especially broad today.”
