DRGT Plans to Roll out New Games at South African Casinos
Dr Gaming Technology (DRGT), the international games developer, plans to roll out several new games to the casino floors of selected South African casinos. The group recently exhibited with its African partners at the Wild Coast Winter Games and presented some of its more recent innovations.
The group partnered with Simplicit-e Gaming to show off its Duma wide area progressive which was created as a joint project with Sun International, Gold Club, FRGT and Simplicit e-Gaming.
Sun International sang praises for the Duma WAP and, according the director of gaming and slots for the group, Des Whitcher, it is “one of the best performing products we have ever had on our casino floors.”

Sun International announced that it would be expanding the presence of the games from, 160 to over 200 on casino floors belonging to the group in South Africa.
In addition, it was announced that Sun International would launch the latest DRGT WAP, Sun Striker by the end of the third quarter of this year. The game, which was a joint development between Simplicit-e Gaming, DRGT and Gold Club, will be added to 170 slots at all Sun International casinos as well.
The unique advantage of DRGT’s systems is that all the information about the slot machine is contained within the machine itself, cutting out the need for a central server. Operators can thus view investment and running costs data thanks to serverless technology and control the machines accordingly. Because of this very feature, the number of games by DRGT on South African casino floors will continue to grow. Hopefully, adding on popular games like Keno online.
Another DRGT product that will come into use at South African gambling establishments is its ticket and gaming management solution. This will be adopted by bingo sites in Port Elizabeth and East London run by Boss Gaming. The system will connect over 320 bingo devices at first, with a view to adding more.
” With its plug-and-play scalability and the proven reliability of the platform with tickets or cards in such diverse environments, we are looking forward to unleashing the power of the DRGT ticket-in, ticket-out promotions capability to deliver a truly outstanding guest experience,” noted Dave Winter, speaking for Boss Gaming.
The Wild Coast Winter Games were held at the Wild Coast Sun Resort, owned by Sun International, last month, from July 20th to 23rd.
